Design partner introduction (repeat business)
After delivering a successful site for Origin8's client RADical Systems, Origin8 approached Matter Solutions again to produce their web site designs for their client Count on Me Ltd.
Count on Me Ltd deliver a range of event management services. They specialise in "ticketing" and "Box Office management".
Clear brief, cost-effective build
The site layout had already been produced and approved by the client. The design layout also included the final example of the menu. This gave our developers (Mike & Ben) a very clear idea of the amount of pages and the type of work that needed to be done to complete the site.
We were able to deal directly with the client on a fixed price basis to take the project through to a successful delivery.
Project managed
We worked directly with the client to collate all the relevant content (text/images) and input on the progress. This meant that the project could be kept on budget and the client was constantly informed about the timeframe.
Deployment options
When the site was deployed we gave Count on Me the option of using their own hosting or Matter Solutions' managed hosting services. Due to the information only nature of the web site we agreed that their own hosting would be suitable. The problem was that Demon could not provide PHP support without additional fees. We arranged for the site to be converted into HTML only, from the original PHP+HTML technologies and kept the cost within the original budget. We even deliverd a temporary holding page based on the new design concept as a prelude to the new site going live.
The static HTML site was deployed on their own hosting but our team have retained a copy of the PHP based development site to use in the future if necessary as this will help reduce the cost of site-wide alterations and even minor content updates.
System features:
- Simple structure for non-technical webmasters to update (say via Dreamweaver or Frontpage)
- The site implements Origin8's final design effectively using our web building service
- We've utilised HTML rather than graphics where appropriate to keep the site SEO friendly
